Motion-preserving spine surgery: Lumbar spine fusion is used to treat a variety of lower back conditions. However, lumbar fusion that involves more than two levels may reduce the spine’s range of motion. We perform motion-preserving spine surgery to prevent this. In complex cases, we perform this surgery using the traditional open approach; in simpler cases, we use the minimally invasive approach. Within a month following surgery, the patient can resume almost normal back movement because to the minimal post-operative stiffness caused by this innovative approach.
